I've always wanted to be able to switch places of my characters on the character list as I wish, and I'm sure that there's someone else out there who also want that.

I think that only being able to sort your characters by None, Alphabetic, PvP/PvE is VERY lame since after a few random changes my main characters has been spread out all over the character list which makes it look pretty random.

Anyone else out there who wanna add a few new sort alternatives?

Suggestions:

Custom
Oldest --------> Newest
Most played --------> Least played

It takes LITERALLY 3 seconds. Less even... Have them work on something more useful. Like more storage they have promised.

It will take them a minimum work effort, don't lower the standards even farther.

I really liked the "Most played --------> Least played" idea, it's highly logical and makes good use of the /age command (the part where it says how many hours you've played the current character until that point in time). Needless to say that I like the "Custom" idea as well.

Anet won't spend to much time implementing that feature as the lion share is already sitting there, waiting to be exploited. Besides that, More storage doesn't have a lot to do with the programmers (They are the time consuming "part") because they already expanded our storage before, all it take is to replicate that once again, not that hard and not that time consuming.

I sort of like the order mine are in, But i guess if they keep the current set up and add it for the time spent on the character i would be all for it. Giving it 4 custom options. The more options the better !

dont like it since I have lots of characters----I play one for a while and then another....it would mean they would switch when one of them ellipses the other in play time....however, a custom sort is what I wanted a long time ago in another thread in this very same forum.....

I'm so much used to the pvp/pve order I just go quick few roght or left clicks and select wanted character in max 1 second time. So practically no use for me.

As for difficulty of implementation/time required I suppose adding extra options like for example the suggested:
Oldest --------> Newest
Most played --------> Least played
could be quite easy, simple and requiring very little extra data to be saved. However I suppose a Custom ordering option to require a ton of work.

I'd much rather see them add some way to change the order of titles in hero panel because that thing is completely screwed up... or do something even more useful like the best storage update imaginable.
